For our company in the UK and Ireland, we are currently looking for a

General Manager / Managing Director (m/f/x) based in the UK


YOUR TASKS

  • Business Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, expand customer base, and improve profitability
  • Sales in UK and Ireland: Oversee sales activities, maintain and develop customer relationships and attend (international) trade fairs
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance and compliance to tax regulations
  • Team Leadership: Support and motivate the small team, ensuring productivity, motivation and the monthly payroll in cooperation with our accountant
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all legal, regulatory, and health & safety standards are met
  • Managing and controlling distributors agreements and reports
  • International cooperations: Engage and cooperate within our global team


YOUR PROFILE

  • Knowledge of the horticultural/agricultural industry
  • Enthusiastic, customer-friendly personality with an affinity to greenhouse horticulture
  • Willingness to get involved in day-to-day operations
  • Strong commercial expertise with the ability to drive revenue and profitability
  • Experience in financial management and business planning
  • Technical background regarding ornamental plants is a plus
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Ability and willingness to travel (30-40%), including both international and domestic trips
