We workin cross-functional squads where every data practitioner is amember of a central data discipline and fully embedded into aproduct squad alongside Engineers, Designers, Marketers, ProductManagers, Finance Analysts etc. Your Mission Were aiming to be theapp where our customers financial lives are centered and they canget full transparency, visibility and control over their money.This role is fundamental to achieving this mission and making moneywork for everyone. Youll build the foundations and collaborate onbuilding systems that enable a personalised financial experience,leveraging machine learning to improve our search, discovery, andpersonalisation features. You will be responsible for partneringwith senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering and Businessdisciplines to develop evidence-driven solutions to importantproblems. You will apply your leadership experience and dataexpertise to solve complex business challenges, help drivedecision-making (at squad and leadership level) and develop dataproducts (where appropriate) that will improve our products. Youwill lead a team of high performing, cross functional dataprofessionals. You will also be part of the wider data leadershipgroup and help shape the role that data plays across the company.Your day-to-day * Establish yourself as a trusted member of thedata and product senior leadership teams with the capacity forgetting things done and to enable better decision making * Bringdata leadership and rigour to the data team, and build a strategicunderstanding of the business while structuring complex projects tobring them to life * Set the data strategy for a whole product areawhich will help us to build one of the best user experiences in thefinancial industry * Help your team to focus and to prioritise forhighest impact initiatives for the business * Effectively managestakeholder relationships and expectations across various functionslike engineering, product, operations and first and second lines ofdefence * Develop and further scale a high performing team of dataprofessionals across a wide range of data capabilities * Coachmanagers and individual contributors, helping them to growprofessionally and personally You should apply if: * You havemultiple years of experience in a hands on data role in the pastand have now been leading data and ML teams in customer facing,product oriented roles * As well as managing high-performing teams,you have built teams from the ground up within a fast-growingenvironment * You consider yourself an empathetic leader and haveexperience managing multiple data individual contributors and datamanagers and you really enjoy that part of the job * Youre ascomfortable getting hands-on as well as taking a step back andthinking strategically and proactively identifying opportunities *You have experience working together and collaborating with seniorbusiness stakeholders * You have experience leading a full stackdata team, including Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists,Analytics Engineers and Analysts * You have experience managingdata managers The Interview Process Our interview process involves3 main stages.
