What to expect day-to-day:


We are looking a talented and experienced Frontend Software Developer to join our team and work on exciting projects that involve developing web frontends for visualizing data collected from IoT devices that monitor the electrical grid.


As a Frontend Software Architect, you will be responsible for the selection and adoption of frontend software technologies, frameworks and processes to be standardized and adopted across multiple projects. You will be involved in both the discovery and delivery phases of development projects, ensuring that the correct technical strategies are considered early in the product development and take a hands-on approach to ensure that the projects are delivered on - time to high - quality. You will drive the development and adoption of reusable frontend framework components and provide mentorship to all frontend software engineers to ensure consistency of implementation between project teams. 


You"ll have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and tools, including Vue 3, Mapbox, Plotly, Docker and Kubernetes. You"ll be encouraged to stay up – to – date with the latest trends and advancements in the industry, and to share your knowledge and ideas with the team.

What you"ll do:

  • Design and development of reusable frontend framework components 
  • Design and development of frontend Web UI SaaS applications 
  • Migration of legacy web UI applications to modern JS frameworks 
  • Technical mentorship of frontend engineers 
  • Contribution to Camlin's software development strategies 
  • Participation in Agile Scrum and design meetings 
  • Governance of web application CI/CD pipelines 
  • Governance of web application software quality (e.g. unit tests, SAST, SCA) 
  • Design and development of web application security 


What you"ll need:

  • At least 7 years' experience as a Frontend Software Engineer 
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role 
  • Experience with Vue.js (or a similar modern JS framework) 
  • Experience mentoring engineers 
  • Experience with test libraries, such as Jest, Cypress
  • Practical knowledge of modern web application deployment infrastructures 
  • Knowledge of version control systems, e.g. Git
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal 

Nice to have: 

  • Bachelor"s degree in computer software engineering or equivalent 
  • Experience with Typescript 
  • Experience designing responsive & reusable UI/UX solutions 
  • Experience building SaaS applications 
  • Knowledge of secure software development principles
  • Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with external monitoring tools (such as Datadog, Prometheus + Grafana, etc.)
