GoLLM Limited is a UK-incorporated start-up developing a next generation survey analysis and report automation tool. Building on our existing collaboration with local government and a national public sector organisation, a joint project with Heriot-Watt university supported by modest grant funding, and our participation in Barclay’s selective AI-Industry Bridge and CodeBase’s TechScaler Progamme, we aim to develop this product and gain traction through Spring ‘25 whereupon we will pursue fundraising. For now we are focussing on grants and bootstrapping.

We're seeking a pioneering Founding Engineer (Full Stack) to join our early-stage startup. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and deploy full-stack solutions that drive our business forward. Working closely with our CEO, co-founders, and CTO, you’ll help define our technological direction and build a scalable, high-performance product. You’ll tackle complex challenges as we work to revolutionise survey analysis and automated reporting, enhancing employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and market research

What We’re Looking For

• Expertise in both frontend (React) and backend (Node.js) development is essential.
• Strong coding skills in languages such as Python is essential, (with Java experience a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 - 5 years of professional experience working in an agile, and dynamic environment
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Essential expertise in concurrent (asynchronous) programming.
• Good understanding of progressive WebApp development with container-based Microservices Architecture, and hosting on AWS/Azure/GCP is essential.
• Understanding of Web Sockets (socket.io), REST APIs, gRPC
• Experience with at least one NoSQL DB: TimescaleDB/Cassandra/InfluxDB, MySQL, and Redis
• Experience automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerised applications with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of data streaming and messaging frameworks (Kafka, Spark, etc.)
• Understanding of information security frameworks (Auth0), and standards
• Understanding of distributed tracing and monitoring (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Sentry, New Relic, etc.)
• Experience building highly scalable & robust applications in at least one of instant messaging, chatbots/conversational agents, video streaming (HLS/DASH) is nice to have.
• Ideally based within +0GMT to +6GMT time zones

Our compensation package includes a meaningful equity stake and an initial monthly base salary of £1,000 GBP, with the potential for review as we secure additional funding in the near to medium term. • CTO Vinay Sudhakaran is an expert in building production-ready AI solutions in corporate, startup, and consultancy contexts, securing patents & invention disclosures.
• CEO Daniel Shorr has led teams and grown multi-million partnerships in diverse sectors. He previously founded a US nonprofit and was VP of strategic alliances at a Tier 1 bank.
• Board Chairman James Varga is a serial entrepreneur, and has successfully raised over £25M from VCs. A corporate sales expert, he also serves in advisory roles for gov’t, etc.
