Our client is a leading provider investments and wealth management. The Responsible Investment team is seeking a highly motivated ESG Data Analyst/ Associate. This role involves collecting, analysing, and reporting on ESG data, which will support the organisation's sustainability initiatives. You will play a crucial role in delivering essential ESG data to investors and other stakeholders. Additionally, this role includes contributing to ongoing ESG integration activities, such as manager and fund research oversight.


We are seeking candidates passionate about sustainability and responsible investment, eager to use data and technology to enhance investment decisions and outcomes for customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day ESG data operations, including report creation, data validation, responding to investor queries, and investigating data anomalies.
  • Develop tools and resources to support ESG analysis and oversight across portfolios, funds, and securities.
  • Drive the automation and systemisation of processes across reporting, data delivery, stewardship, and portfolio oversight.
  • Strengthen ESG data strategy by designing and implementing robust validation and monitoring frameworks.
  • Analyse ESG data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and assess new data sources for investment relevance.
  • Produce clear reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate ESG insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide data-backed recommendations to inform ESG strategy and implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Data Management, Investment Risk, and others to expand responsible investment (RI) data and reporting capabilities.


We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Technical fluency in tools such as Python, R, PL/SQL, DAX, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in statistical analysis, data visualisation, and data mining.
  • A proven ability to present complex insights clearly – including writing reports and delivering analytical papers.
  • Solid research and investigative capabilities across varied data sources.
  • A good understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with investment concepts and how ESG factors impact financial and investment decision-making.
  • Experience across the coding project lifecycle.
  • Exposure to platforms such as FactSet, RIMES, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, Thinkfolio, and Dasseti.
  • A sound understanding of securities, funds, and portfolio construction – with hands-on experience running fund and portfolio analytics.
