A bit about the job:

This role will sit within Data Architecture which is part of the wider Group Architecture function. You will be working to build Aviva's Customer & Market data strategy to deliver the ambition for data that gives competitive advantages by providing the views, designs and leadership needed to ensure that optimised customer insight, responsiveness and marketability can be leveraged across Aviva Group.

This is a fantastic opportunity that will provide you with the prospect to develop your skills, as you will lead on driving the roadmap with strong awareness of business opportunities and constraints, define data products, and advise how the business utilises these efficiently. Along with engaging with senior leadership to convey the opportunities available from data, support data innovation and guide the prioritisation of development to build the best business outcomes.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Experience in the development of data architecture strategy and execution in large organisations like Aviva with Financial Services and experience in Martech/Customer Data Platforms being an advantage. Track-record of defining data roadmaps with a 5 to 10-year horizon which balance known, and anticipated business need alongside enabling simplification.

Skills in making highly sophisticated decisions that are considerate of multiple factors including the balancing of near-term value delivery with longer-term sustainability.

Ability to influence through building positive relationships; alongside strong communication that is adapted to consider the audience environment, drivers and needs.

Expertise in all things data including lifecycle, technologies, data-patterns, domain-driven design, insights, analytics and machine learning, master and reference data management, integration, data warehousing, NoSQL, data quality, metadata, and data compliance. Alongside this, specific expertise in delivering Martech/CDP platform strategy including resolution of customer data, delivery of customer 360° data, marketability, campaigns, integration with digital properties and GDPR.

Outwardly looking with an excellent understanding of industry standard data strategies and trends alongside technologies and business models. Snowflake experience and certification would be advantageous alongside knowledge of core platform technologies including AWS, Salesforce and the Adobe Experience Cloud.

What you’ll get for this role:

circa £90,000 national and circa £120,000 London (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
