What you’ll bedoing:

  • Performing simulation andanalysis of structures and equipment subjected to dynamicloading

Providing structuraldesign guidance at design reviews with respect to naval shock loadcasesFollowing internalprocedures and develop evidence of compliance through writtencalculations andreportsSupporting theidentification and rapid closure of issues emerging from allproduct lifecycle stages (i.e. build/productionissues)Supporting in technicaldevelopment and research activities, methods and acceptancecriterion, liaising with industrial partners and external customersas necessarySupporting in thedevelopment of in-house simulationtoolsets

Your skills andexperiences:

Essential

  • Mechanical EngineeringDegree (or related STEMdegree)

You will also be givenextensive support to develop your knowledge within the key areas ofthe Dynamics Team.As an Engineer within the Dynamicsdepartment, you will undertake complex simulation and analysis ofstructures and mounting systems which support and protect vitalequipment from high acceleration levels during naval shock events.You will use hand calculation and numerical methods to assessstructures and correlate to test evidence, while also providingstructural design guidance to both internal and externalstakeholders at design reviews.
