Health Innovation KSS areseeking to appoint a Director of Digital Data & AI to help HealthInnovation KSS become a leader in Digital, Data & AI innovation across theregion and nationally.
Main duties of the job
You will be instrumentalin growing our work with the SDE (Secure Data Environment) as well as respondingto demand from systems partners to help them grow their understanding and usageof digital and AI technologies in a responsible fashion.

Kent Surrey Sussex AHSN (trading as Health Innovation KSS) is one of 15 HINs set up by NHS England in 2013 and relicensed from April 2018 to operate as the key innovation arm of the NHS.

Salary:Circa £90,000 at full-time / hrsper week equivalent salary

Keyresponsibilities of the role
To be a champion/expert in Digital data and AI both internally and externally leveraging wider team members in systems as well as across other parts of Health Innovation KSS and embed greater knowledge and awareness generally. The position will be critical to the future, successful trajectory of the company and will be required to cover the following:
StrategicPlanning: Develop andimplement a comprehensive digital, data and AI strategy that aligns with theorganisations goals and objectives. Lead digital and data projects, prioritiserequirements, and generate funding. Ensure transparent communication with thesenior management team. To better market and promote theregions digital & data assets and knowledge locally andnationally/internationally to public/private sector organisations interestingin working with or utilising these assets
TechnologyOversight: Stay abreastof emerging digital technologies and AI trends, ensuring the organisationleverages cutting-edge tools and practices.
ProjectManagement: Leaddigital transformation projects, including AI implementations, digitalmarketing initiatives, and data analytics efforts.
TeamLeadership and Management:Manage, motivate, develop and mentor a team, including data analyst/scientistsand programme manager. To act as a figurehead and be responsible for presentingat external conferences and events
BudgetManagement and Income Generation:Responsible for P&L, overseeing the budget for digital and AI initiatives,ensuring cost-effective solutions and ROI for technology projects.
StakeholderCollaboration: Workclosely with other teams and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensuredigital and AI projects align with broader business objectives.
DataManagement: Developstrategies for data collection, management, and analysis to drive businessinsights and decision-making.
Complianceand Security: Ensuredigital and AI systems comply with relevant regulations and standards andmaintain robust security practices to protect data and technology assets.
PerformanceMetrics: Establish andtrack KPIs to measure the effectiveness of digital and AI initiatives, adjustingas needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Innovation and translational research:Foster a culture of innovation within the team and organisation, encouragingexperimentation with new technologies and approaches by working with thetranslational research team and academic partners
Trainingand Development:Provide ongoing education and training for staff on digital tools and AItechnologies to enhance their skills and knowledge.
