What you’ll do

The Data Domain, part of the Platform Engineering team within UK IT, builds technology to enable Vodafone's data-driven decision-making. This involves designing, developing, and managing infrastructure and applications for efficient data collection, storage, processing, and analysis. Currently, the Domain is also transforming our enterprise data warehouse estate into Google Cloud.


This role is part of the Demand and Capacity Management practice within the Data Domain. The team is responsible for several key functions, including:
 

You will accept, allocate and manage new demand from internal Vodafone business units and strategic programmes. You will facilitate demand reviews with the Architecture team to assess impact, agree on priorities, resources, and timelines, ensuring optimal WIP levels. You will oversee offshore and 3rd party delivery teams to ensure projects meet timelines and costs. You will regularly forecast resource and capacity requirements based on the demand pipeline and GCP migration activities. You will support the management of Opex and Capex budgets to ensure accurate project spending against forecasts.

Who you are
 

You will demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, capable of handling internal relationships and expectations through effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration. You will be able to showcase previous experience in demand management, preferably within an IT environment. You will have proven experience in IT delivery management or project management. You will have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. You will be a motivated individual who is agile and able to remain calm under pressure.
