What You'll Do OurBCG X teams own the full analytics value-chain end to end: framingnew business challenges, designing innovative algorithms,implementing, and deploying scalable solutions, and enablingcolleagues and clients to fully embrace AI. Our product offeringsspan from fully custom-builds to industry specific leading edge AIsoftware solutions. As a Data Scientist, you'll be part of ourrapidly growing team. You'll have the chance to apply data sciencemethods and analytics to real-world business situations across avariety of industries to drive significant business impact. You'llhave the chance to partner with clients in a variety of BCG regionsand industries, and on key topics like climate change, enablingthem to design, build, and deploy new and innovative solutions.Additional responsibilities will include developing and deliveringthought leadership in scientific communities and papers as well asleading conferences on behalf of BCG X. Successful candidates areintellectually curious builders who are biased toward action,scrappy, and communicative. - Have deep technical and Data Scienceexpertise: The successful candidate will have a wealth ofexperience with applying advanced analytics to a variety ofbusiness situations, such that they can efficiently and effectivelyadvise multiple teams on the best path to uncovering criticalinsights for clients. - Are a pioneer with strong problem-solvingskill: You will face various client business issues explained intheir language and should organize the issues in structured way.Furthermore, you are able to break-down the issues into analyticsproblems and suggest options for applicable analysis methodologiesbased on client context. - Are an autonomous self-starter with apassion for analytics. You will help build new Analytics serviceofferings that grow our portfolio of products and will captureproprietary content and support the creation of proposal/sellingdocuments. - Are comfortable managing engagements, clientrelationships, and acting as a “thought Leader.” Strong presence,strong collaborator and leadership skills and ability to operateeffectively in a matrix organization are a must. - Love buildingthings and are comfortable working with modern development toolsand writing code collaboratively (bonus points if you have asoftware development or DevOps experience) - Have significantexperience applying advanced analytics to a variety of businesssituations and a proven ability to synthesize complex data; as wellas a deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques andtheir mathematical underpinnings, and are able to translate thisinto business implications for our clients. - Have strong projectmanagement skills. What You'll Bring - Master’s Degree or PhD withsignificant relevant experience providing advanced analyticssolutions. The degree should be in computer science, appliedmathematics, statistics, machine learning, or a related datacentric field. - Demonstrated deep technical and data scienceexpertise, acute strategic and analytical skills, ability to leadand persuade, drive and energy, and desire to work in aproject-based environment on strategic issues. - Strong record ofprofessional accomplishment and leadership. - Fluency in Python.Work Environment Ability to travel based on client and businessneeds.
