Data Planner - AI/Telecoms/Linguistics Specialist

In this role, you'll leverage your linguistic expertise to shape natural language processing technologies, ensuring AI solutions effectively understand and generate human-like interactions while adhering to the highest linguistic and ethical standards.

Essential Experience

Master's degree or higher in Linguistics or related field (preferred)
Minimum 5 years of practical experience in natural language processing, data analysis, and/or computational linguistics.
Demonstrated expertise in managing and analyzing large-scale linguistic datasets.
Strong understanding of current Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies and trends.
Proven experience in AI-based service development and implementation.
Advanced data literacy and analytical capabilities specific to linguistic data.
Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in NLP and data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
Familiarity with statistical concepts and methodsDesirable Experience

Experience in global project implementation and multi-language service development.
Track record of successful AI-based product commercialization.
Expertise in data construction and management techniques, such as data cleaning, data transformation, data validation, and data versioning.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Knowledge of database systems and query languages (e.g., SQL).Key Duties

Lead the generation, collection, validation, and management of large-scale linguistic datasets for AI model training and evaluation. This includes tasks such as:

Identifying and selecting relevant data sources for various languages and dialects.
Developing and implementing data collection methods, including crowdsourcing, web scraping, and API integration.
Designing and applying annotation schemes for linguistic phenomena, such as part-of-speech tagging, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and dialogue acts.
Ensuring data quality and consistency through manual and automated validation and cleaning processes.
Storing and managing data using appropriate formats and tools, such as JSON, XML, and CSV.Conduct comprehensive linguistic analysis of data to extract meaningful insights and patterns. This involves:

Analyzing and optimizing conversation patterns and user queries to enhance AI communication capabilities.
Performing statistical and qualitative analysis of data to identify trends, anomalies, and variations across languages and contexts.
Applying linguistic theories and frameworks to interpret and explain data phenomena, such as language variation, language change, language contact, and language acquisition.
Developing and testing hypotheses about language use and behavior based on data evidence.Collaborate with technical teams to ensure effective integration of linguistic data into AI systems. This includes:

Communicating linguistic findings and recommendations to developers, data scientists, and product managers.
Providing expert linguistic insights for multi-language service expansion.
Monitoring and assessing language-related aspects throughout the service development lifecycle.
Contributing to the development and refinement of Language Models through strategic data curation.Maintain ethical and social standards in data practices and AI development. This means:

Ensuring balanced data representation across various language contexts to avoid bias and discrimination.
Evaluating and mitigating potential risks and harms of AI systems, such as privacy violations, misinformation, manipulation, and exclusion.
Adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding data collection, use, storage, and sharing.
