We’re excited to recruit for this role of Data Manager at Golding where you will play a key role in developing and implementing a robust data management framework along with a company-wide data strategy engaging all stakeholders to help them understand data and promote a culture of data ownership.
What you'll be doing
Within this key role, you will provide technical expertise in all areas including report development, data engineering, data & information governance, change management and data quality, while advocating for the use of modern data platforms such as Azure Data Services.
You will identify the most suitable roadmap for key data aspects including assessing future capabilities in AI-driven analytics and automated data management.
You will own the data warehouse and ensure effective processes for data modelling, governance, and integration with cloud technologies are implemented.
With strong management skills, you will provide strategic leadership to lead a high performing team to ensure successful delivery and you’ll implement a culture of data ownership supported by robust processes.
More about you. What can you bring?
We are looking for a Data Manager with proven experience of leading and managing effective data and information functions including improvement and governance.
You will have demonstrable experience of improving data quality with tangible outcomes and of introducing governance, standards, principles, and practices for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, with a focus on future-ready technologies like AI and low-code data solutions.
Experience of Power BI and other associated reporting technology is required, and you’ll have a good understanding of Microsoft’s Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps and Dataverse.
With in depth knowledge of technology solutions, trends, and techniques you will have designed business intelligence tools and techniques and/or enterprise reporting tools from a variety of suppliers.

Additional information
Attendance at our office in Maidstone is required along with flexibility to work outside normal office hours in response to critical incidents or planned maintenance activities.
When and where you'll be doing it
You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of circa £62,000.
