Data Engineer (Snowflake) - London - Hybrid - £90k - £100k

This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced data engineer with expertise in Snowflake, AWS, and Python to join a rapidly expanding data team within a well-established company. This role will have senior responsibilities, requiring a candidate who is comfortable leading on project delivery and mentoring junior team members.

Salary & Benefits

Salary of up to £100,000 (depending on location and experience).

Performance-related bonus - 10% of annual salary.

Generous pension scheme - Company will provide up to 14%, depending on individual contributions.

29 days annual holiday plus bank holidays, and a choice to buy or sell up to 5 days.

Role & Responsibilities

Supporting the delivery of good customer outcomes through all activities and deliverables, enabling my client to act in good faith towards customers, avoid causing foreseeable harm and enable and support our customers to pursue their financial objectives.

Manage data migrations and day-to-day data governance activities.

Review technical work and provide training to Data Engineers, including mentoring and sharing technical expertise with more junior members of own team to build capability.

Deliver change programmes, driven by business or IT projects, to support data transformation, data structures and metadata for both structured and unstructured data.

What do I need to apply for the role

Experience liaising with data consumers to understand complex requirements and provide an interface into IT.

The ability to resolve complex and non-routine issues and identify improvements in the testing and validation of data accuracy.

Extensive experience with Snowflake is essential and working knowledge of DBT, Airflow, Python, SQL and AWS is highly desirable.

Strong background developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining practical data architectures and drive improvements in data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

A proven track record of recommending changes to enhance database maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning, etc.
