As they expand their data engineering hub in South Wales, they're on the lookout for a Team Leader – Data Engineering to lead, innovate, and inspire.

Your Role As the Team Leader – Data Engineering, you will: ✔ Build & Lead a World-Class Team – Hire, mentor, and develop data engineers, ensuring high performance and professional growth. ✔ Drive Technical Excellence – Provide architectural guidance, implement best practices, and solve complex data challenges. ✔ Deliver Impactful Solutions – Spend ~50% of your time working on client projects, ensuring top-tier data solutions. ✔ Optimise Processes & Efficiency – Develop scalable, reusable data models and frameworks while managing workflows via Jira. ✔ Lead Strategic Growth – Work closely with leadership to scale the team and refine data engineering strategies.

What You Bring We're looking for a hands-on leader with: 🔹 Expertise in SQL – Performance optimisation, indexing, stored procedures, and database administration. 🔹 Programming Skills – Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++. 🔹 Data Architecture Experience – Designing scalable data pipelines, automation, and orchestration. 🔹 Integration & API Knowledge – Strong background in RESTful APIs and working with semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, XML, YAML). 🔹 Proven Leadership – Experience in managing and developing data engineering teams.
