Purpose of the Role: Are you ready to make a significant impact at OneFamily? We're hiring a Data Engineer on a 6-month Fixed-Term contract!

 As a Data Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge data infrastructure that powers our data-driven decisions. You'll play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that drive our business forward. By leveraging the latest technologies and best practices, you'll ensure our data processes are efficient, reliable, and ready to support our ambitious goals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive Transformation: Lead the charge in delivering data-related changes that support our transformation initiatives, helping us generate revenue, retain customers, and optimise our operations.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with leadership and data peers to deliver seamless, collaborative data changes that improve data quality and streamline data lineage, making our business more efficient.
  • Build the Future: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that are the backbone of our data operations.
  • Ensure Excellence: Guarantee the efficiency, reliability, and accessibility of our data systems, ensuring top-notch data quality and integrity.
  • Optimise and Secure: Manage data storage solutions, optimise data schemas, and implement robust data security measures and compliance protocols.
  • Partner with Experts: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive success.
  • Innovate Continuously: Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with the latest technological advancements and identifying areas for process improvement.


Skills / Experience / Knowledge: 

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with cloud data engineering and technical skills in the Azure stack, Azure Synapse Analytics, DBT, SQL, Python, data modelling concepts, CI/CD, and DevOps Pipelines as well as In-depth knowledge of ELT processes and data warehouse architectures, ensuring efficient and reliable data operations. We’re looking for someone who has proven experience working in an agile environment, demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements and can work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
