About the Role
We are looking for a talentedData Engineer + Full Stack Developerto help drive the next phase ofProject Helios—our bespoke web application and data platform. This is a pivotal, cross-functional role where you’ll shape and implement our data strategy, working at the intersection of data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and full-stack development.
You’ll enhance data ingestion pipelines, build scalable data models, and ensure seamless integration into bothPower BIand ourReact/Next.jsweb application. Collaborating closely with ourGroup Data and Technology Lead, you’ll help centralise client, revenue, and review workflows—powered byMicrosoft FabricandAzure.
Key Responsibilities
Data Platform Development
- Design and maintain scalableETL/ELT pipelinesusingAzure Data FactoryandSynapse.
- Model and store data usingDelta Lake / OneLake, with governance and lineage viaMicrosoft Purview.
- Integrate third-party APIs (e.g.Intelligent Office,AJ Bell,Transact) into the platform.
Full-Stack Integration
- Collaborate with frontend/backend teams to expose transformed data viaNestJS APIs.
- EmbedPower BIdatasets and visualisations intoReact/Next.jsUI components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across data pipelines and application layers.
Cloud, DevOps & Governance
- Contribute toCI/CDpipelines usingAzure DevOps,Docker, andGit.
- Implement secure credential management and monitoring viaAzure Key Vault.
- Document architecture, data flows, and technical processes across the stack.
Innovation & Collaboration
- Partner with analytics, architecture, and engineering teams to enhance data-driven product experiences.
- Continuously improve ingestion, modelling, and integration processes within theMicrosoft Fabricecosystem.
What We’re Looking For
Technical Expertise
- Proficient inReact,Next.js,NestJS, andNode.js.
- Strong experience in data orchestration, modelling, and integration into web applications.
- Hands-on withMicrosoft Fabric(Pipelines, Lakehouse, Warehouses) andAzureservices.
- Skilled inSQL(T-SQL preferred) and eitherApache SparkorPythonfor data engineering.
- Experience embeddingPower BIdashboards into web applications.
- Familiarity with data governance tools likeMicrosoft Purviewand security best practices.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in combined full-stack and data engineering roles.
- Proven track record of delivering integrated, data-driven applications.
- Experience withMicrosoft Azure(essential); Financial Services or Wealth Management background would be an advantage.
- A degree in a relevant subject would be a strong advantage.
