Team Octaive is growing and we're looking for an ambitious Data Engineer to join our fast-moving, dynamic business.

What you'll do
Working remotely (within the UK) with occasional travel to our HQ in London
Design, architect, implement, and support key datasets and data warehouses for both static and real time data.
Engineer analytics dashboards and tooling for data retrieval.
Perform analysis to assess and enhance quality and meaning of data.
Leverage automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
Working with other stakeholders including management and engineering to devise and develop insight and reporting use cases for our customers.
Help identify process improvements, system modifications and devise data governance strategies.
What you'll have
You are a self starter, with a passion for highly scalable data analytics systems.
Experienced building AWS Cloud based data systems using: AWS Athena/PrestoDB
Lambda, S3, Kinesis, Glue
SQL
NodeJS
CubeJS
Relational Database Systems

Working with other developers, it is useful to have experience in technologies including: ReactJS
Data visualization and analytics software such as Tableau
Git/version control
Other big data technologies such as hive, hadoop, spark

Hands on experience building data warehousing including ETL pipelines.
Experience processing data from multiple heterogeneous sources.
Ability to design complex data architectures for performant analytics.
