Description

Be a part of our ambitious Elemis Data Modernisation Program, which leverages Microsoft Fabric to build a modern, scalable data platform that empowers the business to make data-driven decisions. Microsoft Fabric is a cutting-edge, SaaS-based platform that unifies various data capabilities, including lakehouses for data storage, PySpark notebooks and SQL for data engineering, Power BI for real-time analytics and reporting, and AI integration to provide advanced insights. With a collaborative and innovative mindset, you’ll build resilient and future-proof data solutions, integrate various global data systems, and shape a cutting-edge data warehouse.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build data products and services, ensuring data quality and integration into broader business processes.
  • Handle business-as-usual tasks such as managing data transfers, responding to service desk tickets, and maintaining data operations.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies—backlog grooming, daily scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Produce clear and thorough documentation to support both data design and operations.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation with new tools and data methodologies, especially in relation to the capabilities offered by Microsoft Fabric.
  • Stay updated with modern data practices, growing your skills while contributing to the business’ performance. 


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Degree in a numerate subject (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics).
  • Microsoft BI or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • SQL & PySpark expertise is critical.
  • Problem-solving & Innovation: Ability to work within an evolving environment and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication: Able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile & collaborative mindset: Experience with Agile frameworks and working in fast-paced environments.
