Data Engineer** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: Chester or Bromley (3 days per week on site)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella day rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Profile

We are currently seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our client's team in the investment banking industry. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the technical architecture design for our client's Corporate Mobile platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain data solutions using the Cloudera platform
Solve complex problems with an emphasis on product development
Create and work with data architectures
Coordinate and communicate effectively across teams
Stay updated with new technologies and techniques
Utilise AutoSys for workflow automation
Utilise distributed data/computing tools such as Hadoop, Hive, and MySQLSkills & Requirements:

Extensive experience with distributed data/computing tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A drive to learn and master new technologies
Experience with Cloudera's platform
Strong problem-solving skills
Prior experience working with AutoSys
Proficient in using pyspark, ezflow, and other methods for data movement in a Hadoop environment
