Data Analyst (Sales & Marketing)

Location: Hampshire

Salary: c£55,000

Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for uncovering insights that drive marketing and sales success? Our client is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join their team and play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable business intelligence.

As a Data Analyst, you’ll support Sales and Marketing functions by developing compelling Power BI dashboards, analysing customer and market data, and providing data-driven recommendations that shape strategic decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain informative Power BI dashboards and visualisations.
  • Analyse customer, market, and competitor data to uncover trends and insights.
  • Deliver business performance and competitive landscape reports for the Marketing team.
  • Extract and interpret data from complex relational databases using SQL.
  • Use statistical tools to identify trends and patterns for both diagnostic and predictive purposes.
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimise lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and forecast marketing and sales performance using data analytics.
  • Design and implement A/B tests to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored insights.
  • Keep up to date with the latest tools, trends, and techniques in marketing analytics.


What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within a marketing context.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (or similar tools like Tableau).
  • Ability to query relational databases using SQL.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience using Python for data analysis and statistics.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and techniques.
  • Experience working in a data analytics role within a marketing department
