Join our dynamic Royalty Operations team at Penguin Random House, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our royalty systems. As a Data Analyst (Royalties), you will support the Royalty Operations Team Leader in maintaining the integrity of sales data and its presentation on royalty statements.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and verifying data feeds, conducting thorough testing of new system developments, and ensuring that all processes run smoothly without any negative impact. Your analytical skills will be key in supporting the team leader to guarantee that sales data is accurate and correctly reflected in royalty statements. This is a part time opportunity at 21 hours per week.



Key responsibilities:

  • Reconciliations of SAP, affiliate and co-edition sales to Royalty System and Business Objects.
  • Internal auditing of Author and ISBN records.
  • Manual adjustment of sales records.
  • Analysis and distribution of weekly reports and investigation into anomalies in the database (Royalty exception reports, and warnings files)
  • Testing and documentation of new system developments
  • Production and analysis of Licensing Royalty Statements
  • Analysis of unexpected Publication Prices in Royalty Sales file, and update whereappropriate
  • Liaising with team members from within PRH and external partners in regard to adhoc queries.
  • Escalate any ongoing issues to Royalty Operations Team Leader
  • Assist with the maintenance of and querying coming from the Royalty Statement Portal
  • Work with Royalty Operations Team Leader regarding mini-projects as they arise


What you’ll bring

  • Experience in a high-volume transaction business area where accuracy is essential
  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong numerical skills and an attention to detail
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills including being able to build strong relationships with other parts of the business

Circa £25,000 FTE (Actual salary circa £15,000) dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.

While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you will work from our office in Frating, Essex, a minimum of one day per week, every Wednesday.
