About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Product Data Analyst to join the Insight Team at Bark. The Insight Team plays a pivotal role within Bark providing recommendations, insight, and strategic learnings to internal stakeholders across the business. In particular, we’re looking for somebody with experience in leveraging insights and analytics to deliver business value, ideally, with experience working in a marketplace business. Your focus will primarily be within the Product function to understand performance, report on experimentation, and utilise our data to enable smarter business decisions as we work to make Bark the destination site for professional services globally. We are passionate about delivering value to our Buyers and Sellers in new ways, so being curious by nature and wanting to dig deeper to understand the unique behaviours of our users on both sides of the Bark marketplace is pivotal to success in this role. You will also be aligned with the rest of the Insight team and as such, will need to develop a broader understanding of all facets of the business. This can include but is not limited to, showcasing results of different experiments, providing recommendations on how these can support cross-functional departments, and collaborating on areas for improvement. Responsibilities Identify key opportunities to grow and develop our current product offering Translate business needs and user requirements into clear, actionable insights both within the relevant product squads, as well as various stakeholders, including product managers, executives, and development teams Assist in the design, implementation, and analysis of A/B and multivariate tests related to user interactions quantifying the uplift and benefit of these changes Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, engineers, and designers, to identify key priorities, coordinate timelines, track progress, and identify potential issues Proactively seek opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the product development lifecycle. Required skills and experience Advanced Google Standard SQL and MySQL or similar relational database language Familiarity with Google BigQuery or other data warehouse solution Experience with Tableau; creating & managing data sources and converting complex insights into a digestible format Working knowledge of Google Analytics or other web-based analytical tools (e.g. Heap Analytics) Advanced Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets Strong sense of commercial awareness that enables you to translate data into real outcomes for users & the business Strong strategic capability, able to understand a marketplace landscape, use data to identify growth opportunities, and formulate plans to achieve a set of defined goals, objectives, and key results (OKRs) A strong ability to communicate findings to stakeholders in a concise and engaging manner Able to succeed in a high-performance environment where multiple projects are run in parallel Ability to work under pressure Ability to forge strong cross-functional relationships Eagerness to learn & develop new skills Desirable skills and experience Proven track record delivering quantitative analysis to drive end-to-end development of digital products Experience conducting A/B experiment and leveraging statistics to deliver results Experience working in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality analysis Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to articulate new ideas and influence others to gain support Fluency in Python and its application in data analysis is a nice to have, but not essential Diversity Statement At Bark, we are a platform for people, revolutionising the way professionals and individuals connect since 2014.
