The Under-The-Roof (UTR) Capacity Planning Team provides AMZL with safe, cost-optimal and flexible capacity solutions for activites happening at our delivery stations, year-round and enabling the business to scale for seasonal peak demand increases. This role is based out of the London corporate office (LHR35, near LHR16). The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging data to deliver actionable insights that impact daily business, has a strong delivery record and has experience in driving execution in a cross-functional environment, backed by well defined analysis and research. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, relish working with data, and enjoys the challenge of solving complex and ambiguous problems.

As a UTR Data Analyst in the Capacity Planning Team, you will be working on the weekly cadence for the generation of labor plans for AMZL delivery stations to make sure the organization is well prepared for the future.

The work will be both technical and non-technical, spanning different business domains and technologies. You will work directly on SQL, Python, and Javascript, and also influence partner teams. You will work with Data Engineering and Software Engineering to deliver solutions like changes to Science models, roll-out LLM models, collect data, build data pipelines or build dashboards.

You will work cross-functionally and build key relationships to ensure that decisions are made and action. Which enables the AMZL operations to run as effectively as possible. You will challenge the unknown and strive for continuous improvement in key areas of our business.

A successful candidate enjoys problem solving, is comfortable accessing and working with big data from multiple sources, and is enthusiastic about partnering with other teams across the business to deliver results. You should have an internal drive to challenge the status quo, excellent analytical skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, naturally curious, and be involved in the details.


Key job responsibilities
- Hands-on maintenance and development of tools using Python, Excel, SQL, Javascript
- Influencing partner teams to tailor solutions to AMZL EU needs. These can be nontechnical teams like program managers or product managers as well as data engineering or software engineering teams
- Bring clarity to ambiguous problems through good judgement and data analysis
- Deliver some of the most important projects in the organization to deliver packages faster and cheaper than ever

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, business analytics, information systems or related field
- Proficient in MS Excel, SQL
- Basic understanding of Python or another programming language
- Experience working with data warehouse
- Experience in complex problem solving, root cause analysis in a business environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Work experience in operations/supply chain/logistics
- Experience with supply chain management and transportation concepts
