Base Location: Reading/Portsmouth
Salary:Circa £24,580 per annum + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing. Salary upon finishing the Apprentice programme is circa £37,000+.
Working Pattern: Full Time | up to 2 Year Apprenticeship Programme
Start Date: August 2025
Data is the currency of the 21st century and the key to unlocking the potential of energy systems to accelerate our transition to a net-zero economy, tackling climate change head on. 
As part of our ongoing quest for talent, we are looking for the Data Analysts of the future. With your help, our aim is to optimise the networks that will deliver decarbonisation of heat and transport through smart data.
What to expect?
• Our Digital Apprenticeship Programme will provide you with the skills to be part of our digitalisation strategy, whilst benefiting from paid education, a competitive salary and excellent benefits and working for a FTSE 100 company.
• You will develop strong analytical, data handling and interpretation skills across multiple data sets and be able to apply these new skills in context within the working environment.
• This is an exciting 2-year development programme which offers a mixture of on-the-job training where you will gain exposure to key areas of our business enabling you to gain a rounded, in-depth understanding of fundamental principles, techniques, and the workplace behaviours. 
• As part of this dynamic mix you will also undertake the academic element of your programme. It's not just a technical scheme; more about learning how we use data and analytics to support key business decisions business and present in a language our stakeholders can relate to.
• Upon successful completion of the programme, we intend to offer you a permanent role where you will be able to continue to develop your skills and career whilst making a real difference in achieving Net Zero.
What do I need?
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to use your initiative, be resilient to the continual changes within our sector and always focussed on delivering great results. 
• You’ll have a thirst for knowledge and be able to pick up new skills quickly, working with others to achieve common goals and adjusting your behaviour to reflect the diversity of our workforce and customer base.
• Naturally, you’ll have a focus on safety and will adhere to our company motto “if it’s not safe, we don’t do it.”
Ideally, you will have achieved:
Suitable for learners with no programming background 3 A levels at grade C or above, with one of these to be a STEM subject (maths desirable) at Grade B.
Consideration will be given to equivalent level qualifications or 2 Scottish Highers at Grade B & National 5 Maths or completed a SCQF 6 Apprenticeship  
Please note candidates for this position should not have a Data or Computer Science degree or related experience.
