Data Analyst – York (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite) – £30,000 to £40,000

We're recruiting for aData Analystto join a high-impact organisation based inYork. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a growing data function that is undergoing significant internal investment and is integral to strategic decision-making across the business.

In this role, you’ll work with large-scale, complex datasets – both quantitative and qualitative – applying statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and visualisation techniques to support business reporting, stakeholder engagement, and research projects.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver regular and ad hoc reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Produce high-quality analysis using statistical programming (R or Python)
  • Work with the Secure Research Service and other datasets to evaluate programmes and audience engagement
  • Develop dashboards and visual reporting tools using Power BI (or similar)
  • Present complex findings in a clear, actionable way to non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to embed evidence-informed decision-making


What we’re looking for:

  • A degree with strong maths/statistics contentor3+ years’ experience in quantitative analysis
  • Proficiency inR or Python
  • Experience using adata visualisation tool(e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.)


Soft skills:

  • Strong communicator able to explain data insights to non-specialist audiences
  • Comfortable working with a high level of autonomy
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach
