Role Purpose

To provide comprehensive analytical support to the Business Operations Manager, in the management, control and governance of Quality activities including the generation and maintenance of data, data systems and reporting frameworks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data. Act as SME in advising and guiding on potential solutions to business issues to enable business to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and efficient flow down of Quality data and metrics.Management and development of Customer, Supplier, and Internal interfaces such as Q Pulse.Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.Responsible for developing appropriate business cases for buy off by Senior Leaders.Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations & patterns, identifying gaps, propose solutions and implement.Organising and streamlining information into comprehensible structure.Lead and implement tasks or projects often of a complex or sensitive nature.Establish and maintain complex automated data processes.Develop and support reporting processes, producing, and tracking key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.Calibrate, validate, and cleanse data, data management systems, structures, collection methods and outputs providing improvements where gaps are identified.Organising and transforming information into comprehensible structures for senior reviews.Identify and implement best practice methodologies to enable and simplify systems to ensure efficient and effective data is produced and communicated.Search, analyse and extract information from data sets identifying correlations and patterns to extract useful information.Monitor data integrity and quality to ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely analysis, including top-level data summaries, for onward communications to senior management.Translate complex date to create data dashboards, graphs, and visualisations in easy-to- understand formats.Gather, understand, and document detailed business data requirements, collaborating with senior leaders / team members to collect and analyse important data.Works with minimal supervision, referring only the most complex or sensitive matters to more senior team members, identifying barriers to success in advance.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Educated to Degree standard or equivalent Broad and in depth practical and theoretical knowledge and understanding of business area core activity and processes Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with shareholders Strong IT and mathematical skills Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail A solid understanding of data sources, data organisation and storage Knowledge of data analysis tools with a familiarity of other relational databases Knowledge of data modelling, cleansing and enrichment Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Visual Basis, Python, R, or similar Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar

Decision Making Authority

Works within structured boundaries, procedures and work instructions.

Has an element of people responsibility for functional governance for area in which they work.

Expected to assist Team Leader/Snr Manager and where appropriate lead team in process and operational improvements, for projects and scheduling activities within own control.
