Data Analyst - Ecommerce

Gekko Group has a great opportunity for a proactive Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills and the drive to go beyond simple analysis to uncover actionable insights. You will have the ability to turn data into actionable insights to boost performance across the consumer electronics e-commerce channel.


Reporting into the e-commerce Specialist, you will apply technical skills for querying and managing databases to extract valuable information and transform it into meaningful insights. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your database management, problem-solving, and communication skills as you meet reporting deadlines and present concise findings and recommendations to stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  1. Sourcing, processing, and analyzing data related to Ecommerce performance metrics.
  2. Deriving actionable insights and identifying opportunities.
  3. Providing data-driven insights and recommendations to the ECommerce specialist to create online sales growth and market opportunities.
  4. Ensuring the reporting process meets current client and business requirements.
  5. Improving and evolving reports through effective utilization of first and third-party data.
  6. Becoming an integral part of the brand's Ecommerce team, innovating and developing value for the client. Collaborate creatively with data to develop yourself and enhance the agency's proposition and expertise.
  7. Researching industry brands to demonstrate market context in reporting.


Candidate Requirements:


  1. Strong understanding of data analysis from a marketing perspective.
  2. Desired understanding of the digital customer journey from a marketing perspective.
  3. Experience in data analysis, tools, and reporting.
  4. Database management experience and proficiency in SQL.
  5. Experience creating charts and data visualizations using spreadsheets or tools like Tableau & Data Studio.
  6. Proficiency in Google Drive/Docs (Sheets, Slides) and intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
  7. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Details:


  • Salary up to £31,000 per annum (DOE)
  • 12-month contract (Monday-Friday)
