Position: Data Analyst Job Type: Contract, 12 months
Location: Remote, UK
About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will work closely with various departments to gather, analyse, and interpret data, ensuring that our organisation remains competitive and informed.
Main Duties Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Assist in the development of data models and reporting frameworks that support business objectives.
Perform in-depth data analysis using tools such as SQL, R, and Python to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Collaborate with project management teams to define project requirements and deliverables related to data analysis.
Design and support the creation of visualisations and dashboards to fulfill reporting requirements in a clear and engaging manner.
Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by contributing insights during the planning, testing, and implementation phases.
Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications Proven experience in data analysis or a related field is essential.
Proficiency in Excel or other electronic data analysis tools is required; experience with SQL for database querying or Python is highly desirable.
Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau is advantageous.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail; ability to smash complex problems into manageable parts for analysis.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
