We have partnered with Landmarc, the leading Industry Partner for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), managing and maintaining the Defence Training Estate (DTE). With a new 10-year contract (TESC) with DIO commencing from 2024, they are at the forefront of delivering exceptional services. Their Information and Technology Department is crucial in supporting our mission by delivering, supporting, and maintaining all user-facing IT services, enabling their team to excel in their roles.


Your new role

At Landmarc, they're looking for a talented and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your analytical skills and curiosity will help shape smarter decision-making across the business.


As a Data Analyst at Landmarc, you'll play a key role in enhancing our data models, reports, and dashboards. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver insights that support strategic and operational goals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and improving data models, reports, and dashboards to support business functions.
  • Efficiently handling large datasets and transforming them into usable formats.
  • Performing in-depth data analysis using tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SQL.
  • Identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored insights.
  • Supporting the business in resolving data quality issues and improving data integrity.
  • Preparing monthly performance reports and ad hoc analysis.
  • Training end users on how to effectively use dashboards and reports.
  • Driving process improvements and identifying opportunities for more effective data usage.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll need a solid foundation in data analysis, backed by a few years of hands-on experience in a similar position. You should be confident in applying data analysis techniques and best practices to real-world business challenges. Proficiency in Power BI is essential, as is the ability to work with large datasets using advanced Excel functions. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will enable you to transform raw data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across the business.
While not essential, a degree in a business, statistical, or analytical discipline would be advantageous, as would familiarity with APIs, ETL processes, and GIS tools. Experience working alongside Data Engineers or within a broader data team will be highly valued, as will knowledge of SQL and/or Python for more advanced data manipulation. The ideal candidate will not only meet the technical requirements but also demonstrate the behaviours and values that align with Landmarc's collaborative and insight-driven culture.
