Role Overview



The ESG Data Analyst will support the ESG Team in developing and enhancing climate reporting capabilities, ESG data analytics, and data visualization tools. The role involves working closely with the ESG Climate Research Lead and ESG Strategy Team on various data-related initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support development of climate reporting capabilities across the business and affiliates
  • Assist with ESG data and analytics tools, helping teams understand and utilize them
  • Create data visualization tools for ESG and climate metrics using PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Develop innovative data tools to analyze climate and ESG risks/opportunities
  • Support strategic planning by enhancing visualization of internal ESG AUM data
  • Track asset flows and integrate external ESG market data
  • Benchmark against market trends and summarize emerging risks/opportunities
  • Support the ESG Council's Data & Technology Working Group
  • Track and share ESG data-related market, regulatory and thematic developments
  • Assist with ESG data queries and discrete projects like marketing collateral
  • Help develop affiliate-level ESG KPIs where appropriate

Required Skills

  • Strong interest in ESG/climate topics and practical solutions for investors
  • Advanced data manipulation and Excel skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and well-organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills

  • Experience in a data-related or quantitative role
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

The ideal candidate will combine technical data skills with ESG knowledge to support ESG initiatives through analytics, reporting, and visualization capabilities. The role requires both analytical rigor and creative approaches to deriving insights from ESG data.
