Job Title: Data Analyst (Grade B-C)

Location: Leeds City Centre + Hybrid Working

Job Type: Full-time

Team: Consultancy

Reports to: Head of Client Analytics (Jessie Stuart)

About HyperFinity: We use data science and AI to help retailers make profitable pricing, marketing and retail media decisions. Put simply, we help retailers sell the right products, to the right people, for the right price. We employ a mix of tech and people to achieve great results for our clients. We work with a growing list of household names including Morrisons, Costa Coffee, Hotel Chocolat, Card Factory, Toolstation and JD Sports.

The person:

  1. 2-3 years+ experience working with data; Retail/ FMCG data preferable.
  2. Hands-on experience in extracting and manipulating large datasets.
  3. Experience in translating large amounts of data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  4. Self-motivated with an ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and work as part of a team.

The role:

  1. Translating raw basket and loyalty data into a coherent set of customer insights.
  2. Ability to story-tell customer insights through slides with clear actions and client recommendations.
  3. Help provide tactical and strategic support to unlock value for our clients through data insights.
  4. Ensure good attention to detail with good QC / reconciliation processes in place.
  5. Collaborate and support immediate team members where required including on insight-related topics.

Desired skills and experience:

  1. Python and/or SQL required along with solid MS Office (notably Excel) skills.
  2. Strong focus on pulling data, deriving insights, and presenting findings in clear, well-structured slide decks.
  3. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities both internally / externally.
  4. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
