As the Profusion consulting team continues to grow, we are looking for ambitious individuals who have a passion for how data can drive businesses forward. With a strong mandate to contribute to Profusion’s data consulting business, you will be part of a small team delivering high-quality deliverables to clients. Key Responsibilities 
As a data analyst, you will be responsible for finding the ‘so what’ in the data, helping our clients understand the insights required to make smarter decisions. This can come with many different responsibilities, including:

•    Interviewing stakeholders to understand their business needs
•    Leading workshops to scope out functional and non-functional requirements 
•    Designing dashboard wireframes and then building them in Tableau or Power BI
•    Querying, cleaning and anlaysing data as per the needs of the team/ project
•    Developing client deliverables in PowerPoint
•    Presenting in front of key stakeholders, including senior data and business leaders
•    Helping build proposals for new business 
•    Planning socials for the consulting team

As you can tell, this data analyst will have a wide remit to deliver business impact for clients. With a wide remit comes a lot of opportunity to learn and grow quickly, learning about everything an individual needs to become a leader in the data industry. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with and learn from seasoned consultants across the team, reporting to the Head of Data Strategy, Dylan Anderson.

Personal Specification: Skills, Experience and Behaviours

Key Skills/Experience:

•    Must have some previous experience as a data analyst, scientist or consulting role
•    Strong SQL and Excel capabilities
•    Intermediate experience using R or Python (preferred) to build pipelines, do analytics, and visualise data
•    Understanding of how to build dashboards, reports and visualisations via Power BI or Tableau
•    Ability to think strategically and solve problems by going beyond the obvious
•    Understanding of business concepts 
•    Communicating insights and working with non-technical, business stakeholders
•    Some experience with PowerPoint
•    Foundational statistics, database and analytics knowledge
•    Machine learning experience is a lovely to have, but not necessary

•    Interest in learning about how different areas of the Data Ecosystem interact with one another (e.g., Data Governance, Data Architecture, Engineering, etc.). This thinking will help you deliver real insight for clients
•    The drive to go beyond the obvious! You should be looking for the ‘so what’ that clients pay for, helping to drive real change on your projects
•    Creativity belongs in data, so please bring both the technical and the creative sides of your brain to the problems we are solving
•    Ability to work in a flexible way, adjusting to the needs and requirements of the client and the working environment
