This role is critical to maintaining and running our monthly reporting cycle, enhancing reporting capabilities and delivering actionable insights that drive decision-making across a portfolio of major capital projects.

What you’ll do

As a Data Analyst focused on reporting and data insights, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how project performance is tracked, analysed and communicated.

Working closely with the PMO Lead, your primary responsibility will be leading the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring timely, accurate and insightful reporting across the AMP8 capital programme.

Key responsibilities include:

  • maintaining and enhancing PMO reporting frameworks to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance across projects
  • supporting the development of datasets from core business systems to enable reliable and repeatable reporting processes
  • contributing to the continuous improvement of project reporting standards and PMO processes.
What you’ll need

We’re looking for a proactive and analytical individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality reporting that drives performance and accountability.

You will have:

  • strong technical skills in Power BI, with experience in building and managing dashboards, data models and using ETL tools such as Power Query and or Dataflows
  • proven experience in data analysis, project reporting, or PMO roles, ideally within the utilities or infrastructure sectors
  • a deep understanding of reporting cycles, especially monthly governance and performance reviews
  • familiarity with exception reporting techniques, root cause analysis and escalation protocols
  • experience working with complex project data from multiple systems (eg, finance, planning and risk)
  • excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to translate complex data into clear messages
  • a continuous improvement mindset and a hands‑on approach to innovation and efficiency
  • a project management certification, eg, PRINCE2 or equivalent (desirable).

This is an exciting opportunity to directly shape the reporting function of a forward-thinking PMO, using data and technology to deliver value across high-impact projects.

What you’ll receive
  • A combined pension contribution of up to 20%.
  • Career progression and professional development opportunities.
  • 25 days’ holiday rising to 28 with length of service.

  • The opportunity to lease a new electric car through salary sacrifice (subject to conditions).
  • Cashback and discounts from more than 3,000 retailers.
  • One paid volunteering day each year.
  • Enhanced family leave and pay arrangements.
