Data Analyst | SQL Expert | Consumer Insights | London

At Reward, data is at the heart of everything we do. We work with global partners like Visa and Experian, analysing billions of transactions to deliver insight-led decisions that shape the future of retail, banking, and loyalty.

We’re looking for a Data Analyst with strong SQL skills and attention to detail to join our Consumer Insights team. This is a hands-on, data delivery role where you’ll take client briefs and transform them into actionable data — extracting, cleaning, and preparing complex datasets that guide real-world commercial decisions.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with large-scale transactional and spend datasets
  • Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and prepare client-specific data deliverables
  • Deliver insight in the form of clean, spec-driven datasets to internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond to client technical queries via email (no live calls or presentations)
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Data Engineering, Product, and Partnerships
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Use automation and creative problem-solving to streamline regular tasks
  • Contribute to prototypes for new data products or client reporting dashboards

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years in a data-heavy role, ideally within transactional, loyalty, or spend-based datasets
  • Strong SQL expertise — confident in querying, shaping, and quality-checking large volumes of data
  • Comfortable in a business-as-usual delivery role, working from clear project briefs
  • Analytical and methodical mindset with a strong eye for detail
  • Excellent written communication, especially in technical explanations
  • Bonus if you bring: Python, AWS Athena/S3, Power BI, or advanced Excel
  • Background in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics or related discipline

Who might thrive in this role?

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds — especially those seeking a steady, flexible role with purpose and structure. If you're a returner or looking to re-enter the workforce in a technical, non-client-facing capacity, this could be a perfect fit.

The Details:

  • Role: Data Analyst
  • Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Client interaction: None live, just technical queries via email
  • Team: Part of the Consumer Insights function
  • Tools: SQL Server, AWS Athena, Excel, Power BI, Python (desirable)

If you love data, precision, and delivering insight that drives commercial value — we’d love to hear from you.
