Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role 3 days a week minimum, for a Data Analyst at WALT Labs in London Kings Cross. The Data Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as data analytics, data modeling, and utilizing statistical methods to drive business insights in Looker Studio and Looker Core. Effective communication skills will play a key role in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Analytical Skills, Data Analytics, and Data Modeling abilities
  • Proficiency in Statistics
  • Experience using Looker Studio at minimum
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science)
  • Experience in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, etc)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and optimize datasets in BigQuery or other SQL databases for analysis and reporting.
  • Use SQL to query large datasets and uncover trends that support business decisions.
  • Design, build, and maintain Looker dashboards, including custom LookML models.
  • Optimize queries and visualizations for cost efficiency and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and present actionable insights.
  • Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with governance policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies and support Looker or SQL database-related issues.
  • Monitor and automate reporting for business-critical KPIs.
  • Stay updated on best practices and recommend process improvements for data analysis and visualization.

This role combines technical skills in SQL and Looker with strategic analysis to drive data-driven decisions.
