Abacus are proud to be working exclusively with a top class global firm. They are seeking Data Analysts to join remotely and work within their Knowledge and Innovation Management Team. This is an opportunity to help shape future operational and strategic analysis within their data team. Essential Functions: Perform analysis related to a number of employment-specific project types, including pay equity, reduction-in-force, employment discrimination, state pay reporting, affirmative action plans, audits, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and other litigation-related exposure or damages models. Locate the necessary data sources, extract, and convert raw, sometimes discordant data into structured files ready for analysis, verify data integrity, run preliminary descriptive analyses, and finalize documents and data for production. Manipulate, clean, analyze, and refine data using a variety of tools including R, Excel, and other software tools. Create dashboards and other data visualizations to help drive insights and tell the story of the analysis. Develop and document processes and techniques used to extract, clean, and analyze data. Explain your work to others with varying degrees of technical experience. An interest in workforce/people analytics and leveraging data to assist clients with creating more efficient, productive workforces through predictive analytics. Manage your projects and work with minimal direction to ensure that deadlines are met and relevant stakeholders are kept in the loop. Track billable hours in timekeeping system as part of project management process. Assist other team members as needed to ensure that exceptional work product is delivered consistently and in a timely fashion. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field or a Bachelors degree in another field and equivalent work experience in a quantitative capacity Masters degree preferred. 1-3 years experience as a data analyst providing analytics support for a large organization, preferably for employment litigation, including for pay equity, reduction-in-force, and OFCCP compliance. Experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (e.g. R, Python, SAS, STATA, SPSS, etc.) or an interest in learning. Experience extracting, analyzing, cleaning, and interpreting client pay data in a variety of forms. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platform or an interest in learning. Expert-level Excel skills and familiarity with MS Office suite. Knowledge of SQL and comfortable querying databases. Self-starter capable of working remotely and with little supervision and able to work through and resolve technical issues on your own. Team player, customer service focused, and adept at multi-tasking and prioritization. Familiarity with Agile project management, or an interest in learning. Initiative and problem-solving abilities with a focus on building it better and continuous improvement. Keen interest in technology and innovation, and ability to quickly learn new platforms.
