Hometree is a home energy services company on a mission to accelerate the transition to net zero. By fixing, installing and financing home energy hardware, we're helping homeowners transition to low-carbon solutions, when they are ready.  

Salary:£45,000 - £60,000 pa depending on experience.
Role type:Permanent, Full time.
Location:Hybrid, with the expectations to come into the office twice a week.

The Role

Join Hometree as a Data Analyst and help drive advancements in renewable energy. Use your skills in BigQuery and Looker to extract, analyze, and visualize complex datasets, providing key insights that support our mission. Work with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven recommendations and contribute to a more sustainable future. If you're experienced in data analysis and committed to impactful work, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources using BigQuery, and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards in Looker to support various business functions.
  • Data Visualisation: Design and create intuitive and impactful data visualizations using Looker to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Data Management: Maintain data integrity and ensure high levels of data quality by developing and implementing data governance practices, and monitor and troubleshoot data anomalies.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering, to provide analytical support and insights, and present data-driven recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience: 3-5 years as a Data Analyst with expertise in Looker (LookML, dashboards), strong SQL skills, and experience with Google BigQuery or similar data warehouses.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced SQL, Looker for visualisation, familiarity with ETL processes, and understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Extra Credit:

  • Additional Tools: Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
  • Looker Studio: Familiarity with Looker Studio for enhanced data reporting.
  • A/B Testing: Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and statistical analysis.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.

Our Recruitment Process:

  • Initial Call:Start with an introductory call with our Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist to discuss the role and your potential fit. (30 mins)
  • Skills-Based Interview:Engage in a detailed discussion about your past experiences with our Head of Business Intelligence (1 hr)
  • Values Interview:A Values Based Interview with the Head of Commercial Operations and our Data Engineer (40 mins)
  • Final/Task Interview:Final interview with Head of Business Intelligence and our Chief Technology Officer.
