Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to join our team in London on a full-time, permanent basis. The Data Analyst sits in the Asset Risk Function, which has the responsibility for Motability Operation's pricing decisions and forecasting key financial risks, including Residual Value, SMR, Insurance, and Economic Capital. This role supports day-to-day data, analytics, and insight activities within a matrix team. Ensuring our data is a trusted asset by upholding strong data governance processes, and providing reports and actionable insights to drive business decisions and activity.

Reporting into the Data Analytics and Insights Manager, the role has the following key responsibilities:
Running the operational elements of the data governance framework in Asset Risk, ensuring data health is measurable and in line with agreed metrics.
Ensure the timely and accurate management of the datasets underpinning all Asset Risk BAU activity (Customer Pricing, Residual Value Forecast, Insurance, Economic Capital and Portfolio Risk Management) and strategic development roadmap items (model development, tools and systems enhancements, etc).
Build and maintain a solid understanding of our business model and implications and interactions with the Asset Risk outputs.
Deliver meaningful reporting and insights across a variety of Asset Risk activities, drawing on your knowledge of the fleet, economy, trends and automotive industry, to tell considered stories that inform the updates and outlooks for the Asset Risk forecasts.
You will work with colleagues to ensure the tools and systems used to support the data governance activities, ranging from implicit data governance (e.g. Informatica), data and process management (data applications), and data visualisation (e.g. Power BI and Tableau) meet the needs of the business.
Actively embrace an effective data culture in Asset Risk; data quality, monitoring, governance in support of meaningful and timely insight that delivers a tangible, 'so what' outcome.
Work in collaborative relationships to deliver the Data and Insight deliverables (BAU and strategic projects) in line with a matrix way of working approach across the Asset Risk Operational Teams and fellow Asset Risk output owners.
Supporting your colleagues and be passionate about helping each other to develop your skills, share experience and deliver in a proactive and engaging workplace.

Minimum criteria:
Numerate degree demonstrating strong mathematical and modelling/statistical skills.
Skilled in data visualisation, data analysis, reporting and dashboard development.
Excellent communication and presentational skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Strong technical skills in SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
