Team Accountabilities - How we work: Configuration andDesign Data Management is a key enabler for Rolls-Royce to maintainthe transparency and integrity of the definition data for all ourproducts. This is achieved through: - Identification ofconfiguration items in design documents and their recording andaccounting in relevant Configuration Management Systems as basisfor control and reference. - Establishment of configurationbaselines (i.e. bills of material) for all products and theircontrolled change through the creation of modifications. - Set upand control of all product structures and control of all productcomponents in the Configuration System in interaction with otherdepartments. - Responsibility for the Product Change Process andassociated Change Control Boards. - Technical release of designdocuments to preserve document integrity and provide protectionagainst unauthorized change. - Weights and Mass PropertiesManagement. What you will be doing With this exciting opportunityyou will get a chance to: - Establish and maintain the productconfiguration rules for the Rolls-Royce product portfolio. -Support the preparation and maintenance of Configuration Management(CM) documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with theapplicable Rolls-Royce quality procedures and standards throughoutthe whole product lifecycle. - Create and maintain ConfigurationManagement Plans with Rolls-Royce Suppliers and Customers. - Managethe Product Bill of Material (BOM) and Product Structure for allproducts. - Schedule and coordinate Change Control Boards anddocument implementation results. - Collaborate withmulti-functional teams and ensure CM practices are followedthroughout the organisation. - Help to automate CM processes usingapproved tools while ensuring compliance with CM policies andquality standards. - Interact with/Report to other teams, e.g.Programme Management, Design Engineering, Final Build, Quality,Aftermarket. Who we're looking for At Rolls-Royce we embraceagility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity ineverything we do. To be successfulin this role you will need: - Fluent language skills, written andspoken: English; - Good organisational, presentation, communicationand negotiation skills. - Basic knowledge of common configurationmanagement standards, e.g. ISO10007, CM2, EIA-649. - Basicunderstanding of PLM product database working principles. - Pythonand Perl programming skills would be advantageous. - Willingness totravel occasionally.To work for Rolls-Royce you may need to holda Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to thatclearance for some roles. Rolls-Royce will support the applicationfor Security Clearance if you don't currently already have this inplace.
