Job Description
With another internal promotion, we’re now looking for a Commercial Performance Analyst to join the Performance and Planning team at Abcam! Performance & Planning is part of the wider Commercial Enablement team. We are the engine room of Abcam’s commercial function, empowering our colleagues and improving their commercial understanding so that they can better serve our customers effectively and efficiently. Our vision is to act as a catalyst for positive change across the customer-facing teams and the wider business.
Working within the Performance & Planning team and partnering with commercial leaders within the business, you will be responsible for improving global performance levels of our customer-facing teams with KPIs, reports, and data to drive outstanding commercial activities across sales, service and marketing.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintain and improve Tableau performance reporting suites for Commercial teams Support with the identification of relevant KPIs and measures which reflect the performance of the Commercial teams Use reporting and analysis to identify areas to drive change, course corrections or further iterations in Commercial strategies Prepare and present data/insights to senior stakeholders in a practical way to guide strategic decision making. Maintain and improve our data sources to allow faster, more automated reporting, working with our Data Engineering team who are owners of our main data sources. Provide ad hoc analytics support to the function on data analysis, reporting and performance
Qualifications
You have a number of years experience within a commercial analyst or data analyst role, working with customer service, sales or marketing teams, delivering data management, data analysis, insight and reporting solutions. You have performance management experience with the ability to propose new KPIs based on gaps in performance and a proactive self-starter who can pick things up quickly and run with projects autonomously. You are an expert in Tableau or equivalent data visualisation software, along with a high level of ability with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
You are output focused with a growth mindset and someone who thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. You have the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and deliver data related insights in a compelling and easily understandable format. Any knowledge of SQL would be great as well.
