Lead Data/Business Intelligence Developer | Reading, hybrid | £80,000-£90,000

Our client is seeking a Lead BI Developer to take ownership of their data warehouse design and development. This role requires deep expertise in mortgage lending data and the ability to deliver business-driven solutions while leading key projects within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing infrastructure for reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data accuracy across the warehouse and underlying systems.
• Provide technical oversight for business-driven solutions aligned to data governance standards.
• Lead key workstreams for projects impacting data warehouse assets.
• Advocate for and implement data security best practices.
• Maintain and enhance the data dictionary and labelling across ETL systems.
• Mentor and support team members to foster a strong, resilient team.
• Deliver solutions aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
• Participate in on-call support to ensure operational data resilience.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Extensive experience with UK mortgage data, including loan portfolios and securitisation.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and data warehouse development.
• Proficiency in Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps and performance tuning.
• Experience with the Kimball methodology for data warehousing.
• Understanding of Agile development processes and QA standards.
• Strong communication skills to interpret and deliver business requirements effectively.
• Experience in financial services regulations, including Consumer Duty and TCF.
