Business Data Analyst – Risk Systems (Data Focus) | London | Hybrid | Investment Banking


Our client, a leading organisation in the Investment Banking industry, is seeking aContract Business Analystwith a strong focus ondata analysis and risk systemsto join their London-based team.


Key Details:

  • Location:London
  • Inside IR35 -£625 - 750 per day
  • Hybrid Working:2–3 days per week in the office
  • Contract Type:Initial 6-month contract (likely extension)
  • Industry:Financial Services / Investment Banking
  • Start Date:ASAP


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and document business requirements related to market and counterparty risk systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define sustainable solutions aligned with strategic goals
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and support testing activities
  • Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring data and functional alignment
  • Support user acceptance testing and contribute to change management and rollout
  • Provide expert input on data modelling and risk frameworks, ensuring data quality and consistency
  • Coordinate across multiple business functions and systems to drive complex change initiatives


Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in market and/or counterparty risk environments
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modelling
  • Proven ability to manage complex change across business and IT
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Familiarity with tools such asJira, Confluence, Excel, SharePoint
  • Knowledge ofAgile methodologiesandrisk frameworks
