Responsibilities

: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business data requirements for data migration and data transfer. Analyse current and future data structures, business processes, dataflows, and dependencies to identify gaps and risks and ensure smooth data transition /transfer Define data mapping, transformation rules, validation criteria and business logic for data transfer and data migration projects Work closely with data engineers and migration teams to ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Support data reconciliation, integrity checks , validation, and cleansing activities to ensure quality and consistency. Identify and resolve data discrepancies and ensure alignment with business rules. Assist in data profiling and data lineage documentation to track historical changes and data movements Act as a liaison between business users, data architects, IT teams, and vendors to facilitate smooth data transitions. Translate business requirements into actionable data specifications for the transfer/ migration team. Provide reports, dashboards, and insights to track data transfer/data migration progress and data integrity. Ensure all data transfer/data migration activities align with dataernance policies and regulatorypliance requirements. Maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage, and standards. Work with risk andpliance teams to ensure migrated data meets audit and reporting standards Assist in developing strategies for data retention, archiving, and dmissioning of legacy systems. Data Lineage identification and Data Mapping - map source data fields to target field. Document transformation rules and logic Data Quality Control, Collection and Cleansing: Identify and collect relevant data from multiple sources, including internal databases, external vendors, and APIs. Perform data cleaning, transformation, and standardization processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Problem Solving and Testing: Skills to use data to support investigations and testing, understand how to get root cause of problems, working with SMEs and team members. Review and rmend improvements to processes, data, controls to support improving the Bank. Dataernance and Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity, data privacy, andpliance with regulatory standards. Adhere to dataernance processes to maintain data quality, consistency, and security. Identify and resolve data quality issues by conducting data audits and implementing appropriate data cleansing techniques. User Coordination: Work with users on how to use the migrated data Post-Migration Validation: Validate the migrated data in the target system to ensure it meets the required quality standards and supports the organisation's operations. Coordinate validation for the other systems as defined by other respective leads Develop an integrated relationship with the IT teams that will help build and test the technology to support the cutover and implementation approach Post-Migration Review: Conduct a post-migration review to identify any lessons learned and areas for improvement in future migrations Stakeholdermunication: Regularlymunicate with all stakeholders to keep them informed about the progress of the cutover and implementation and address any concerns they may have.

Profile

Business Data Analyst - Migration Skills and Experience

Proven experience in data migration or data transfer/ transition projects, preferably within financial services or regulated industries. Strong SQL skills for data querying, validation, and reconciliation. Experience with ETL tools and data transformation techniques. Solid understanding of data modelling, data structures, and relational databases. Proficiency in BI/reporting tools (, Power BI, Tableau) for data visualisation. Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate technical concepts for business users. Knowledge of dataernance, data quality, andpliance frameworks (, GDPR, BCBS 239). Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus. Principles of Dataernance and Data Quality Data Remediation Data Security and Handling within a Bank. Documentation and Requirements Gathering The Ability to solve problems, develop options and champion change The ability to identify, manage and maintain Risk (RAID) Logs The ability to defined and realise benefits You must be able to work on multiple projects at one time, and be able to organise and priories work University degree or equivalent with strong experience in data migration , data integration or similar role Familiarity with tooling (Alteryx, Informatica, Denodo, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau) Experience Microsoft technology Ability to use JIRA or Service Now Project Management tools Understanding of the data sets within a Bank that has an investment arm
