Job Description

  • Located in Marlow, UK - 50% of the focus on Canada and 50% on regional data enablement for EU
  • Reporting to Director EU&C - BTS - Allergan Aesthetics 

Job Overview 

As a Business Relationship Manager for the Canadian Aesthetics Business Unit, you will be the key liaison between the BTS organization and the Affiliate business Stakeholders. You will be responsible for understanding the business needs, aligning BTS initiatives with business goals, and ensuring successful delivery of BTS projects and services. You will have comprehensive oversight of business technology support, encompassing project consultation and execution, process enhancements, incident management and change enablement across the BTS commercial ecosystem to fulfill the evolving needs of the local business.

In addition to your BRM responsibilities for Canada, you will also act as a Data Enablement lead for EUC, (Europe and Canada) driving the implementation of the data strategy for the region to support business growth. You will oversee data governance and data management for the region and ensure data quality standards and adherence are maintained. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data & Analytics IT and Business international teams to optimize data utilization and enable data-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Business Partner: Leverage knowledge of affiliate strategy, global strategy as well as external landscape and environment to drive business decisions and results. Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders and act as a trusted partner on application of technology, ensures that demand is prioritized in line with business and customer value streams whilst avoiding technological debt.
  2. Project & Portfolio Management: Identify current and emerging business needs to leverage global platforms or co-create with global, area/local interim solutions. Work across Abbvie BTS organizations and business functions to negotiate and secure the availability of resources to realise change and outcome. Collaborate with capability and project management teams to plan and oversee the implementation of IT projects that support business objectives. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the agreed-upon scope and quality.
  3. Systems Adoption and Digital Transformation: drives & adopt international capabilities as foundational enabler for business. Track measures of success and decommission capabilities as required. Advocate for the adoption of innovative IT solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness. Assist in driving digital transformation initiatives by promoting a culture of innovation within the organization.
  4. IT Service Delivery: ensure the business receives high-quality IT services by working closely with BTS international Capability leads and service delivery teams. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in IT services to meet evolving business needs. Escalate critical issues related to IT service disruptions and work with IT teams to provide timely resolution. Facilitate the resolution of any issues or conflicts between IT and business units. Track and report on the performance of IT services and projects, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
  5. Change Management: support organizational change management efforts related to IT implementations and changes. Ensure business stakeholders are adequately prepared for IT system changes, including user training and communication. Collaborate with IT and business teams to manage the impact of technology changes on business processes.

Regional focused :

 

  1. Implement the Data management and analysis capability initiatives for region and local affiliates through close collaboration with international and global data teams.
  2. Support the pull through of BI capabilities from International to Region and EUC affiliates, partnering with International Data and Analytics Tower leadership. The focus will be on the Enterprise Data Products built in Palantir Foundry, actively providing priorities and requirements to form regional Data & Analytics roadmaps based on the International capabilities.
  1. Activate our data governance framework and operations from international to the EUC region. Advocate data standards including data dictionary, data curriculum and catalogue.
  2. Drive Operational efficiencies: Support the development and refinement of key data-related policies, playbook, and support system adoption through processes and clearly defined KPIs.
  3. Advise in strategic data discussions across the organization, seeking to mature data practices and evolve the use of data to offer new ways to improve operational efficiency.


Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent work experience. Preferably in computer science, business administration, or relevant healthcare related discipline.     

Experience

  • Experience in IT management, business relationship management, or a related role.
  • Experience in IT services, systems, and operations.
  • Experience in Shaping IT portfolio alignment business priorities to key technology strategies.
  • Extensive experience in matrix driven global organizations working with cross-functional and cross-country teams.
  • Proven record of leading cross functional project teams and working across organization boundaries
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis, strategic planning, and project management.
  • Proven experience in building and managing data tools, and platforms.
  • Exposure with machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms and models, understanding different learning models and knowledge on how to select, define and fine tune models with technical experts.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong Business engagement, interpreting business needs into technology solutions.
  • Ability to influence and advise country and area leads on the best use of technology; as well as justify and BTS commercial projects at country level.
  • Strong ability to de-mystify complex technical subjects and ideas for non-technical audiences
  • Experience leading project teams with both direct and indirect staff.
  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with 1-3 years of project management experience.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, SLC, vendor management, and agile/waterfall project environments.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and analytics tools, and machine learning models
  • Strong Knowledge of business process mapping, and diverse systems environments; with focus in Data stacks, data management and analytics.
  • Innovative mindset - keep up with latest technology and trends.
