I am on the lookout for a talented intermediate-level backend developer to join a 'tech for good' start-up


They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about crafting efficient, scalable, and high-quality solutions. You will work closely with the frontend and product teams to develop the core infrastructure that powers our platform, ensuring seamless data integration and robust backend architecture.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend infrastructure using modern tools and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Develop and optimize APIs for both internal and external use, ensuring scalability and high performance.
  • Ensure the security, quality, and performance of applications through testing, code reviews, and proactive monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions as we continue to scale our platform.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Python development
  • Experience with database design, management, and optimization - SQL/NoSQL
  • Proficiency with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of security best practices for backend development.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Passion for environmental impact and building technology that drives positive change.


Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with Machine Learning and Data science experience
  • Knowledge of modern data processing tools or real-time data systems.
