About the Role:

We are looking for a skilledAutomation Test Engineerwith expertise inbackend, data, API testing and Python.In this role, you will design, develop, and implement automated testing solutions to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our backend systems and APIs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintainautomated test frameworksfor backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Design and execute test cases forRESTful APIs, databases, and cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests intoCI/CD pipelines.
  • Conductperformance, security, and integration testingto ensure system robustness.
  • Identify, analyse, and report defects with clear documentation and reproducibility.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams todefine quality standardsand best practices.
  • Continuously improve test strategies and expand test coverage for backend and data systems.


Experience:

  • Experience in automation testing, with a focus onbackend and API testing.
  • Strong programming skills inPythonand experience with automation frameworks likePyTest, Robot Framework, or Behave.
  • Hands-on experience testingRESTful APIsusing tools such asPostman, Newman, or RestAssured.
  • Knowledge ofSQL and NoSQL databasesand experience validating data integrity.
  • Familiarity withDocker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments(AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience integrating tests intoCI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD).
  • Understanding ofmessage queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)and microservices testing.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

  • Experience withbig data testingand data validation.
  • Knowledge ofsecurity and performance testingmethodologies.
  • Familiarity withmachine learning pipelinesand testing data models.
