Introduction JOIN US! We seek an Associate Legal Counsel to join our Legal team, based in London. As an Associate Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in supporting SymphonyAI's various divisions. This position is ideal for lawyers qualified in an EU jurisdiction looking to gain their first legal experience in the UK, or for UK solicitors looking for their first experience in the technology sector. You will gradually take on more responsibilities as you gain experience and independence. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive legal team dedicated to your professional growth. Job Description What You’ll Do: Draft, review and negotiate contractual documents such as order forms, statements of work, service agreement, etc. Support the legal operations team with various tasks, ensuring the smooth running of departmental processes. Review Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Security Addendums with guidance from senior legal team members. Contribute to non-commercial tasks as required, learning from experienced colleagues. Assist with the initial legal review of RFPs and bids. Provide preliminary advice and support to business stakeholders on routine legal matters. Assist in responding to legal questions on supplier questionnaires, gathering necessary information and documentation. Develop an understanding of regulatory matters affecting the business, such as GDPR, with support from the team. Collaborate with the sales and bid teams during the competitive bidding stage, providing legal input where needed. Help ensure internal governance related to our commercial offerings is followed. What You'll Bring: Lawyer qualified in an EU jurisdiction seeking first UK legal experience, or UK solicitor looking for a first experience in the technology sector. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain basic legal concepts clearly. Basic understanding of contractual and legal principles related to commercial transactions. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently. Interest in AI, technology and data protection considerations. Desirable but Not Essential: Familiarity with different cultural environments and contracting customs within Europe. Proficiency in European languages is a plus. Basic knowledge of SaaS contracting.
