The Pitch : It's a fun job with a great team. You’ll get to time travel to the future and see what new technologies are out there.  We’re looking for someone with a broad science and technology understanding and a commercial background who can quickly get to grips with new and emerging technologies. We’re after someone who enjoys thinking, writing and speaking about the latest breakthrough advances in deep tech – from making synthetic fuels by hacking designer organisms, to using neurotechnologies in combat fighter jets – and everything in between. We need someone who is naturally curious, enjoys researching trends and creating original foresight. You’ll draw on our community of thousands of science and technology experts to crowdsource their collective intelligence, supported by in-house analysts who will look to you for mentorship.  You’re an engaging communicator, working directly with corporate R&D clients to scope new engagements and communicate deliverables. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment with high levels of transparency and growth.  WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING You’ll help leaders in global R&D companies and government agencies to be at the forefront of innovation, by delivering deep tech research and foresight to CTOs, Corporate Venture Executives and Tech Scouts. Think, assess, write and speak about emerging technologies Lead scoping discussions during the sales process with corporate R&D clients Crowdsource intelligence from a global network of startups and university labs Work within project teams to review and sign off on the quality of research  Help grow, nurture and train a team of analysts  Evolve methodology for technology foresight, horizon scanning, trend forecasting and tech scouting Maintain our unwavering pursuit of exceptional quality You are expected to gain exposure to a wide range of emerging technology topics, such as: AI and machine learning Autonomous and unmanned systems Biomanufacturing Climate data & analytics Digital Twins Future aerospace concepts Human-machine interfaces Nanomaterials Neurotechnologies Next-gen renewables Quantum sensing Satellite communications Space propulsion concepts Synthetic Biology Schedule: Monday to Friday No weekends Remote and flexible working arrangements considered REQUIREMENTS ~4-8 years experience in tech intelligence or consulting, ideally some of which in corporate R&D/innovation role with knowledge of the innovation process ~ Deep intellectual curiosity about a wide range of emerging technologies, can assimilate quickly, at a high level ~ Ability to think on your feet and communicate with clients in senior positions ~ Can grow, coach, mentor and manage a team of analysts ~ Comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment ~ High level of attention to detail, care deeply about quality ~ BSc, Masters or PhD in a broad science or engineering discipline APPLY Please note only candidates who send a cover letter and a maximum two-page CV to highlighting your suitability for this role will be considered.
