A Day In The Life…

Reporting to the Head of Marketplaces and working closely with the Head of Data, you will be joining a small but rapidly growing team of talented data professionals. In this role, you will take the lead in analyzing and optimizing PetLab Co’s Amazon activities. By working with large data sets, you will play a key role in driving data-informed decisions that enhance performance on the Amazon marketplace across multiple Geo’s.

As this is a newly created position, you’ll have considerable autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s approach to data and decision-making

Our tech stack:

  • Engineering –DBT/Fivetran & Google Cloud
  • Data Warehouse – Big Query
  • Visualisation – Power BI
  • Languages- SQL/Python

Your day to day will look a bit like this:

  • Lead the development of Amazon analytics and associated data strategies
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Develop and maintain SQL scripts for data analysis and reporting
  • Comprehend and utilise data points from the various Amazon APIs and Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC)
  • Use Python for data manipulation, cleaning, and visualization
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to develop and implement new data-driven products and features
  • Provide regular reports and insights to key stakeholders
  • Analyse and identify opportunities for optimizing advertising spend for improving efficiency and performance
  • Create dashboards to allow colleagues to self-serve

 

Requirements

What You Need…

  • Very strong expertise in SQL (There will be a live SQL test)
  • Previous experience utilising Amazon data
  • Experience taking the lead on projects
  • Someone who is detail-oriented, precise with a proactive attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and to be able to engage with Executives/Founders
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience in the e-commerce industry would be beneficial
