Job Description

We are seeking a Lead AI/ML Engineer with an exceptional track record and a profound passion for artificial intelligence. As a leader in the uncharted territory of decentralised AI, you will be instrumental in driving innovation and engineering excellence. The ideal candidate is deeply proficient in Python, with a strong inclination towards performance-driven programming languages such as Rust, C++, and Go. Your ability to push the boundaries of AI research while delivering impactful AI products will be the cornerstone of our mission.

What You Will Do

  1. Lead a team of machine learning engineers to innovate, develop, and deploy AI models within the Bittensor ecosystem.
  2. Drive the integration of cutting-edge machine learning algorithms with decentralised applications, using Rust, C++, and Go for maximum performance and efficiency.
  3. Cultivate a culture of excellence, creativity, and openness, empowering your team to adopt a "Yes-and" approach to problem-solving and ideation.
  4. Incorporate the latest advancements in AI research and methodologies into our solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
  5. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of AI technologies into our product suite.
  6. Oversee the complete lifecycle of AI model development, from design and fine-tuning to backend implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  7. Embody Macrocosmos values of initiative, innovation, and creativity by challenging traditional paradigms and exploring new horizons.

What You Need

  1. Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  2. Demonstrable experience in delivering production-level AI products, supported by a strong portfolio.
  3. Expert proficiency in Python, with exposure to performance-driven languages such as Rust, C++, and Go.
  4. Hands-on experience in model development, fine-tuning, backend engineering, and deployment and maintenance of AI models.
  5. Proven ability to stay abreast of and apply cutting-edge AI research and techniques in impactful ways.
  6. Strong ability to conceptualise and execute innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  7. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to guide teams through technical challenges in a collaborative environment.
  8. History of academic and professional achievement that underscores technical mastery and innovation.
